RESEARCH METHODS AND METHODOLOGY

A research methods or methodology module within an academic context refers to a critical section in theses, dissertations, undergraduate final-year projects and assignments, where the students and researchers outline the methods, procedures and strategies employed to conduct the study and answer the research questions or hypotheses. It also serves as the backbone of the research, detailing how the study was planned, executed and analysed, including attainment of the university’s ethical clearance.
